Cocaine, Steroids, and the Blackwater Frat Parties Gone Wild
By Craig Considine – Blackwater (now Xe Services) expert Jeremy Schall just released an article titled US Businessman: Blackwater Paid Me to Buy Steroids and Weapons on Black Market for its Shooters which pinpoints yet another embarrassing fiasco for the now infamous mercenary group.
Howard Lowry, a Texas businessman who has worked in Iraq, claims, according to Scahill, that Blackwater paid him to buy steroids and other drugs for its operatives in Baghdad. Scahill also reports that Lowry bought more than 100 AK47s on the black weapons market and massive amounts of ammunition so Blackwater operatives could blast them off at a party.
Lowry claims he personally attended Blackwater parties, which were, he suggests, filled with large amounts ofcocaine and blocks of hashish. Scahill writes that Lowry alleges that Blackwater operatives: “would randomly fire automatic weapons from their balconies into buildings full of Iraqi civilians. Lowry described the events as a ‘frat party gone wild’ where “drug use was rampant.”
And why are American taxpayers putting up with this American tax funded group? It feels like we are paying Blackwater to run a fraternity overseas.
